And in the Good News Department

I know I can dwell on the bad sometimes too much, so it’s nice for me to give some good news now and then, just to switch things up a bit. With all the work on the house that’s been cropping up, we’ve been looking at our dwindling finances wondering how we’d manage to keep some savings alive. It now looks like I’ll be teaching 3 more classes this summer, which will go a long way toward replenishing our savings account and give us a nice buffer again. Plus, I really enjoy teaching, so it’s nice to be able to keep current on that. Let’s see . . . I’ve taught twelve classes so far–so this’ll bring me up to 15. There will be some extra prep time involved, since they’re new (to me) classes, but the money will be much appreciated.

In other news, the chimney tear down is complete–all that remains is to build it up again. The barn project continues, but you can see what it’ll look like when it’s done, and it’s going to be great. Very exciting to finally see some of these projects start coming to a conclusion. I’m looking forward to a winter with a new wood stove going in the kitchen. Nice and snug and cozy.
