Presentation Update

The presentation last night was a success.  Over twenty people showed up, and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.  (Not always a sure thing, when Huck Finn adaptations are involved.)  For those of you who couldn’t make it, feel free to look at my thesis–most of the information I presented came from it. In other news, my replotting of Lesana is going nicely.  I’m approaching the point where I have a fairly good outline.  Next, I’ll work on fleshing it out to make sure I know what I’m doing before I go into the rewrite.  But so far, so good. High Society

So over the weekend I watched High Society, the musical adaptation of The Philadelphia Story. Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly . . . and it wasn’t nearly as good as the previous version. Don’t get me wrong–it was still a good movie, but it just wasn’t as good as the other. I think it’s a great example of different adaptations of the same source material, and I enjoyed it from an academic standpoint. They changed scenes, revised relationships . . .
