March Madness Victor!

Thanks to everyone for playing this year. We had 13 entrants overall, and surprisingly only one person chose Michigan as the winner. So many hearty congratulations go out to Chris Wells for winning the bracket. I’ll be sending him his book trophy soon.

My personal bracket did . . . so-so. It hung in there for a while, at least. I picked half of the Final Four, but I had Arizona beating Illinois in the final, which was 100% wrong. Still, at least it kept me competitive until the final weekend, which often isn’t the case. Then again, I was also outperformed by the bracket I had AI fill out (it had Arizona beating Duke in the final), so . . . I guess it seems like BryceGPT won this round.

I’m used to losing the bracket challenge, however, and I’d gladly have lost it again this year if BYU would have just been able to put together a stronger showing in the tournament. Starting the season so strong and ending with a whimper was a big disappointment. There’s always next year, I know, but it felt like a team like ours was this season doesn’t come around every year.

In any case, thanks to all for playing, and see you all next March!
