Upgrading My Apple Watch

I first got an Apple Watch about a year after it came out, just in time for the first redesign, as I recall. And it’s served me faithfully ever since then. In addition to just telling the time, I’ve used it primarily as a way to get notifications from my phone, track my exercise each day, check my heart rate, and occasionally serve as a timer. (Well, the biggest thing I’ve used it for is to ping my iPhone when I lose it, which is often, but let’s try to downplay that one.) The convenience of always knowing anything urgent

More Artificial Intelligence Issues

Not to continue to harp on Artificial Intelligence, but as time has progressed, I’ve had a couple new observations to make, and I wanted to share them with you. The biggest issue I’m seeing is how much AI seems to be used by so many different websites. Whereas before, someone on the staff might have made their best stab at writing up content for a website, now I’m increasingly seeing content I’m almost positive is written by AI. I understand why someone might choose to do this. AI writing is definitely competent, and likely better than many people can do

Lord of the Rings in 4k

Hiya everybody! Did you miss me? I’ve been off on vacation for the last two weeks, but I’m back now and gearing up to get into the swing of things again. Not too much time today to post, but I wanted to report out on an experiment of sorts I did over the break. Each Christmas vacation for the past long while, we’ve picked a movie series to binge. We’ve done The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings twice before, actually, but it’s a favorite, so we decided to do it one more time. (All 6 movies. The extended versions.)

Officially TikTokking

Well, I finally went and did it. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was considering starting a TikTok account as an author, and I decided to follow through on it. Yesterday I put up my first two posts. (I’m @bmoorebooks, in case you want to follow me over there.) This is kind of backward from the way I’d usually approach social media. I like to have a good feel for a platform before I really do anything with it, just to make sure I don’t do or say something that makes me look foolish, since it might be

To Tiktok or Not Tok?

I have, for the most part, completely and utterly ignored Tiktok. Most of my knowledge of the site is basically that it inspires teens to do idiotic challenges that often result in property damage, injury, or death. That’s a bit tongue in cheek, but not quite as much as you might think. I’ve seen some various posts on the platform. My niece has a pretty big following for music over there. But for the most part, I just decided it was one social media platform too far for me and so I washed my hands of it. However. Lately I’ve
