My writing goals have changed over the years. At first it was to do any writing. Period. Then it was a half hour a day. Then 500 words. Then 1000. Right before the move to Maine, I was regularly getting 1500 words a day written. Since then? It’s been rough. Some of that is due to the nature of rewriting and planning as opposed to writing new stuff. It’s harder to compare the two with a consistent goal. But some of it has also been due to all the changes in my life (job, child, move, etc.). So while it feels like I shouldn’t be all that glad that I got over 500 words written this morning, I am. It feels like I’m getting back to where I want to be, writing wise. Baby steps.
Baby steps.

I pay my dues each…
