That’s right, Woodchuck chuckers–tomorrow is GROUNDHOG DAY!
I probably won’t be able to post tomorrow–too busy with the festivities. We’re hosting a party, of course. There will be Groundhog Games of Skill (with prizes awarded), a Woodchuck Feast (not eating woodchucks, but rather honoring them), presents from the Great Groundhog and then a screening of the film in high definition. That’s right. HD Groundhog Day. Does life get any better?
So what will all of you be doing for this epic day? Will Phil see his shadow? The suspense is killing me! In any case, may the Spirit of Groundhog Day be with you and yours on this lovely weekend.
And you better get your booties, ’cause it’s cold outside.
It’s cold outside everyday. What is this? Miami Beach?
Not hardly.
Comic Relief
B-Ryce:
Thank you for being a constant form of comic relief for me. When I feel like I have changed one too many newborn diapers (aka “disposable underwear”), am drowning in dirty laundry or am tired of being THE peace-keeping force among our 2 preschoolers, I turn to your blog for a little chuckle. You definitely crack me up. Reminds me of the old Jeru days.
Thanks for making me smile across the miles and Have a Happy Groundhog Day (I think you’re the only person I know who throws a party for it . . . wish I could come).
Amanda
I’m predicting March 21st. (Really? Funny, I think that actually IS the first day of Spring…)
Proud to say we’re holding a party, but sad that you guys won’t be there! Dad and Co can’t make it either due to Laurie having to speak during Stake Conference that evening. We agreed that seemed almost blasphemous to have Stake Conference on Groundhog Day. Almost.
I have invited a friend of mine from work and his wife – NEITHER of whom have seen the movie (Amberlee’s boyfriend hasn’t seen it either). So I’m happy to report that we are spreading the good news about Groundhog Day. When are we all starting a Groundhog Chapter together, anyway?
wow.
That is some serious partying.
