Television Update

Loved last night’s Lost episode. One of my favorites. Anyone who complains that the show moves at a glacial pace should have been watching yesterday. I don’t want to spoil it for those of you who haven’t been watching, but let me just say that you’ve really been missing out. As for American Idol, I was glad to see that America agreed with my assessment and put the two contestants I thought were worthwhile through to the next round.

I’m writing from home today, watching DC for DKC so she can go skiing with TRC. I had been planning on coming home early from work sometime in the near future to let them do that, and when I woke up to find nasty weather outside today, I figured today would be a good day to be home. So here I am. Working on some writing, practicing bass–trying to relax some, and doing an okay job of it. See you all tomorrow!

Oops–Lost. I changed the title of the post at the last second and forgot to include it in the post. Sorry.

Ah. So, I hated season 2 and gave up, with the intention that I’d wait until they finished and then decide if I wanted to watch the whole thing or not. In your opinion, did it rise above the season 2 problems and get to be worth watching again?

This show is one of the best shows I’ve seen on television. Period. I would imagine marathoning through it would be really cool, too–but the serialized nature of it is half the fun, IMO. Yes, it’s had some problems, but once they finally picked an end date for the show, they’ve been able to build up to that end date very well. One and a half seasons to go!

I don’t do television week to week. I don’t even have TV hooked up in my house. I just don’t like having to schedule my life around TV. But I’d consider picking up the DVDs when its done…if it’s better than what I saw of it. Season one was okay, if gimmicky, but I really, really hated season 2.

I recall your hatred. Never really felt that way about it then, so maybe the rest of the show wouldn’t be for you. I think you’d be missing out, though.
Can’t blame you on the hatred of scheduling your life around TV. That’s why the DVR is a lovely invention. 🙂
Hey–any news on the book? Email me off-board if there’s anything–I’d love to hear how it’s going.

There’s a revision. Which is going very, very slowly, mostly because I’ve been sick.

    A you-initiated revision, agent-initiated, or other-initiated?

  • By raisinfish, February 19, 2009 @ 9:24 pm

other-initiated. Email if you want more details.
