Temperatures

Busy day today, but can I just mention it’s 3 degrees outside right now, with a windchill of -14? Yeah. Of course, the record low here in December is -31, so I suppose I should just be enjoying the balmy weather. (December, January and February are the coldest months here–the record is -39 in January.)

So all that talk about my wood stove over the summer and fall? Definitely enjoying it these days. It was worth the hassle.

    Re: THAT
I thought you might find that interesting, in your current situation.

    -20 degrees
I’ve only been to Maine once, for a ski trip New Year’s weekend 1997. Two of the days it was -20 degrees. I love to ski but ‘zero skin exposure’ warnings were enough to limit our outings those days to only a few hours. It was just brutal. Coldest I’ve ever been.
    Good luck. Stay warm.

Wood stove’s cranking the heat, but it looks like you guys are the ones with the snow right now. 24 inches would suck if I didn’t have a snow blower. As it is, it would still be a minor inconvenience. 🙂
