Finished

So it’s official. Ichabod is now on his merry way to New York, where he will bravely face the pen of an agent. I don’t know who will be victorious. This now makes the fifth “complete” book I’ve done, and in honor of the occasion, I thought I’d write a post about the books I’ve written to date. Because you all care so much. The ones in bold are the ones I consider “done.” Meaning, they’re published or I’ve submitted them to agents/editors. 1. Into the Elevator/Princess Susie–The first book I ever wrote. It suffers first and foremost from Crappy […]

Yay for Freezing Rain

Courtesy of an ice storm, I’m at home today instead of at work. So to make sure I used the time as efficiently as possible, I’m Completing Projects. That’s right. Ichabod is done and printing even as I type, and it’ll be in the mail to an agent tomorrow. Already got confirmation that he wanted to see the whole thing. So I’m happy about that. I’m also happy that I should be able to finish my taxes today. Just got the final form. And that means I’ll be getting a hefty rebate soon, which makes me even happier. And instead

Hiatus

It’s been an awfully long time since I last posted, I know. And I’m sure all of you out there have just been holding your breath, waiting–hoping–that I’d post again soon. Well, here you go. Merry Christmas. 🙂 So, what’s been happening here in Maine, you ask? For a while there, it seemed like we were just going to get snowstorm after snowstorm, with no end in sight. I had about two feet on my roof. Then, for Christmas, we got weather in the fifties. Go figure. Still have snow, but a lot of it’s melted and reformed into ice.

Chilly

I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but here’s it’s definitely getting on the nippy side. Tomorrow night’s supposed to get down into the teens. This fact, coupled with the ever increasing cost of heating oil right now, makes me very glad to have 4 cord of wood in my yard. (Almost done stacking it, too–yay!) Of course, other than the cold (which no doubt will seem warm in a few more months compared to the temperatures that lie in wait), the weather’s been very nice the last few days. Sunny and clear. In less than

Bad Me

I’ve been getting really bad at keeping this blog up to date, and I apologize for that. It’s not like nothing’s been going on here in Maine–I just have gotten busy on several projects and posting has fallen in the cracks. What have I been doing, you ask? Well, there was the Halloween festivities (my son was Bob the Builder at one party and a Kitty at another) and there was me getting sick again–something’s been going around the library, and it’s stopped by me twice now. Yuck. In addition to that there’s been wood stacking and further experience with
